Innovation-research in the Digital and Interactive Visual Environments
The IrDIVE platform aims at studying the interactions of individuals or groups of individuals with digital visual contents and visualization devices. The platform has innovative, interactive and immersive visualization equipment, allowing the display of high spatial resolution visual content on large projection surfaces. The platform contains an innovative virtual reality space with a unique dual-curve screen that displays dynamic content from Unity and Unreal Engine environments. Technical devices allow us to study and model behaviors from motion capture and oculometric systems, emotional responses from physiological and thermal sensors, and neural correlates of perception and cognition from NIRS and EEG systems. We also develop mathematical and algorithmic tools to analyze spatio-temporal and multimodal data obtained during interactions with digital visual environments. We are open to all academic and industrial collaborations and propose services in line with our expertise.

We possess a wide range of equipment:
- Immersive and interactive virtual reality devices (TORE, VR headsets, 4k touchscreen wall, surround and 3D sound system): display of high-resolution virtual/augmented content, 3D scene modelling, simulation of interactive virtual agents
- Oculometers (EYELINK, SMI, PUPILS-LABS, FACELAB, TOBII, EYETRIBE): study of perception and visual cognition in the presence of virtual content in immersive visual environments.
- Physiological measurement devices (Biopac, EEG, NIRS, thermal camera, and nomadic systems): study of cognitive and emotional porcesses in interaction with virtual content
- Movement capture and analysis (Qualysis, force platform, goniometric combination, Real Time Localisation System): study of individual and social behaviour in virtual and augmented environments.
- Optics (multispectral camera, goniophotometer, texture image acquisition camera): Spectral analysis of visual content and modelling of textures and surfaces
- LABtest (control rooms with video and audio capture systems for companies): studies and modelling of behavior in controlled situations
