Lille Platforms in Biology and Health

PLBS | UAR 2014 - US 41
Biology and health Platform Research unit Precision health Science for a changing planet Numeric for human

The seven platforms that make up PLBS provide access to the equipment and expertise needed to support research in biology and health. The technological, analytical and methodological approaches offered by PLBS range from the development of omics studies to cellular imaging, life imaging and functional exploration, as well as bioinformatics and biostatistics, high-throughput/high-content screening and experimental model housing facilities.
Primarily developed to meet the needs of academic research laboratories in life and health sciences at the University of Lille, PLBS is also open to national and international academic research activities as well as to industry.

For specialized services, see the profiles of our platforms:

  • Genomics platform (GO@L)
  • Glycomics and proteomics platform (PAGés-P3M)
  • Lille Bioinformatics platform (bilille)
  • Animal facilities (Experimental resources)
  • Bioimaging center Lille (BICeL)
  • Life imaging (LIIFE)

Most of the PLBS equipment is made available to the community following practical training. Trainees can then use the equipment autonomously while benefiting from the assistance of engineers and technicians of the platforms. Specialized equipment that requires expert knowledge, or that is located in specific and/or particularly sensitive areas, can be accessed in collaborative mode or via a research or service agreements.
