Surface analysis
Our platform performs surface analysis to determine the composition and chemical nature of species for a large number of fields covering chemistry (catalysis, combustion, corrosion, materials science), biology and geology (isotopic enrichment). We are open to all academic and industrial collaborations and propose services in line with our expertise.

Examples of projects:
- Characterization of pseudo-capacitive vanadium nitride thick films by coupled XPS and ToF-SIMS analysis
- Determination of the oxidation state of uranium in a fluorinated ionic liquid
- Determination of the effectiveness of anti-corrosion treatments on materials from cultural heritage by isotopic tracing
- Elemental analysis of surfaces for different analysis depths
- Quasi in situ analysis of solids after thermal pre-treatment (without venting)
- Coupling of XPS/ToF-SIMS/LEIS analysis
- Chemical analysis of the first atomic layers for organic and inorganic compounds
Our platform possesses 3 instruments (XPS, ToF-SIMS and LEIS), as well as a high temperature treatment chamber, connected to each other by a radial distribution chamber under UHV.
