Surface analysis

Chemistry and materials Platform Science for a changing planet

Our platform performs surface analysis to determine the composition and chemical nature of species for a large number of fields covering chemistry (catalysis, combustion, corrosion, materials science), biology and geology (isotopic enrichment). We are open to all academic and industrial collaborations and propose services in line with our expertise.

Localisation

  • Surface
  • Photoemission
  • Ion spectroscopies
  • Material characterization
  • Chemical analysis
  • Isotopic analysis
  • Depth profiles
  • Quantification
  • Chemical mapping

Examples of projects:

  • Elemental analysis of surfaces for different analysis depths
  • Quasi in situ analysis of solids after thermal pre-treatment (without venting)
  • Coupling of XPS/ToF-SIMS/LEIS analysis
  • Chemical analysis of the first atomic layers for organic and inorganic compounds

Our platform possesses 3 instruments (XPS, ToF-SIMS and LEIS), as well as a high temperature treatment chamber, connected to each other by a radial distribution chamber under UHV.
